James Bond’s watch up for auction!

Quantum of Solace star Daniel Craig has donated a watch similar to the one he wears in the film. He is putting up the watch for auction to raise money for Children in need.
The auction will not just include the watch but will also include a lap with Top Gear driver ‘The Stig’ and tickets to the final of Celebrity Scissorhands.
Craig’s watch, the same one he gave to Jonathan Ross during an appearance on his BBC chatshow last month, is reportedly worth £15,000.
A spokesperson for the BBC said the item is “invaluable as it has been worn by Daniel and came directly off his wrist”.
Bids on the watch can be made on eBay from November 10, with prices for all lots starting at 99p.

Daniel Craig’s quantum leap

Daniel Craig may be an incredbile skilled actor, but he also has another talent, the power of prophecy.
“I’m going to get hurt,” he said at the press launch for Quantum of Solace in January - just after filming on his second outing as 007 had begun.
He was not wrong. Nine months later he has had a shoulder operation, has severed fingertips and had eight stiches in his face.
First reviews from critics have not been critical. They have been largely positive on the whole which has led bond fans to begin to declare Daniel Craig as their most popular bond. The character of James Bond has begun to change. He is being reinvented from the Bond who was featured in the previous films. He is an emotionally battered character. This is much more like the Bond seen in Fleming’s novels.
Quantum of Solace is the shortest bond movie to date but don’t let that put you off. It will take you all over the world from Panama to Italy.
Both of Craig’s Bond movies have ditched the gadgets, the glib one-liners and Q. Bond doesn’t even sleep with the Bond girl.
The next James Bond is due 2010. Keep your eyes open!

James Bond - Quantum Of Solace

QUANTUM OF SOLACE continues the high octane adventures of James Bond (DANIEL CRAIG) in CASINO ROYALE. Betrayed by Vesper, the woman he loved, 007 fights the urge to make his latest mission personal. Pursuing his determination to uncover the truth, Bond and M (JUDI DENCH) interrogate Mr White (JESPER CHRISTENSEN) who reveals the organisation which blackmailed Vesper is far more complex and dangerous than anyone had imagined.
Forensic intelligence links an MI6 traitor to a bank account in Haiti where a case of mistaken identity introduces Bond to the beautiful but feisty Camille (OLGA KURYLENKO), a woman who has her own vendetta. Camille leads Bond straight to Dominic Greene (MATHIEU AMALRIC), a ruthless business man and major force within the mysterious organisation.
On a mission that leads him to Austria, Italy and South America, Bond discovers that Greene, conspiring to take total control of one of the world’s most important natural resources, is forging a deal with the exiled General Medrano (JOAQUIN COSIO). Using his associates in the organisation, and manipulating his powerful contacts within the CIA and the British government, Greene promises to overthrow the existing regime in a Latin American country, giving the General control of the country in exchange for a seemingly barren piece of land.
In a minefield of treachery, murder and deceit, Bond allies with old friends in a battle to uncover the truth. As he gets closer to finding the man responsible for the betrayal of Vesper, 007 must keep one step ahead of the CIA, the terrorists and even M, to unravel Greene’s sinister plan and stop his organisation.
